UNESCO EMPOWERS ARUSHA TEACHERS WITH DIGITAL SKILLS

ARUSHA: UNESCO, in collaboration with the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) and the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), is strengthening the digital skills of 64 government secondary school teachers from Arusha City and Arusha District through a four-day ICT training programme. The training, taking place at Gold Crest Hotel in Arusha from September 1–4, 2026, is being implemented under the ICT Transforming Education in Africa – Phase III Project, supported through the Korean Funds-in-Trust (KFIT). The programme is equipping teachers with practical skills to effectively integrate ICT into teaching, learning and assessment, as well as to develop digital learning content and use emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
